D.C. United coming to town

The USL's recently crowned Second Division Champion Richmond Kickers will face D.C. United, of Major League Soccer, in exhibition match on Wed., Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. on the Kickers home field, the University of Richmond Stadium.

“It is always an honor to host D.C. United, the most storied club in U.S. history,” said Leigh Cowlishaw, the Kickers head coach. “It is an exciting occasion for our team, fans and community, and this will be a great finale to our season.”

General admission tickets are $15. And, yes, United's phenom Freddy Adu will be there.

Talk to me about this sport they call "soccer." They play it in America? And people watch it?
