The art above, done by yours truly, is a reduced scan of "NRBQ at High on the Hog" -- a 13" x 19" print of an ink and pencil original, which comes on archival paper with a matte finish. Not a copy of an old handbill, this is new art. (Click on the image to enlarge it.)
It is one of three images that begin a new art-selling venture for me in 2007 -- the Fan City Series. There are more to come. I can't say how delighted I am with the splendid quality of this printing process. It has spawned a whole new wave of creativity. A spicey tribute to Soble's is on the drawing board now. All of the posters in this new series are going to be the same size. Each run of posters will be limited to only 45 prints, which will all be signed and numbered.
The NRBQ prints cost $45.00 (plus $5.00 handling, if you want me to put one in a mailing tube and send it to you). Email me (ftrea9@yahoo.com) to be sure to get yours before they are gone. More posters drawn from some of Richmond's favorite pop culture events and much-missed saloons are in the works. Stay tuned for more info.
