Cooksey dominates MTA field

Via Facebook a friend and fellow Frisbee-golfer sent me this link to a Richmond-centric article about the recent Virginia flying disc sports tournament in Fredericksburg.

Unlike the competition, Jack Cooksey of Richmond was flying not a fastback but a heavier Ultimate Frisbee disc. Its heft and design made it more challenging to work with, but on this windy afternoon it gave Cooksey an advantage of stability. Cooksey, 43, dropped a few blades of grass to see which way the wind would take them. Then he ran into a smooth toss, the disc lofting high.
