In the first half VCU’s snazzy pair of starting guards, Jamal Shuler and Eric Maynor, went two-for-two on three-point-shots in propelling VCU to a 21-point advantage at the break. In the second stanza, as Rams head coach Anthony Grant shuffled 12 players in and out of action, his team’s lead fluctuated between 25 and 15 points. For commentary on the Elon game and the Rams season (3-2), so far, click here to read an article I penned for Richmond.com.

Gotta say this about GMU and ODU:
George Mason put up a great game against Kansas and lost one to Villanova, 1-1 against top 25. ODU's three losses are all against top 25 teams. While it'd have been nice for them to win at least one of those, still a tough shot. Good showing for CAA teams, though.
